Keep Your Zing

Our Story

A book became
a movement.

The girl who wrote it at 12 is now living it at 18.
Nzinga Collins portrait
  1. 01 · Where It Started

Nzinga experienced bullying as a child, beginning at age 7.

  3. 03 · The Book

At age 12, she wrote “How to Keep Your Zing: 7 Rules I Live By!” to encourage other children, tweens and teens.

  4. 04 · From Book to Movement

The seven rules became the foundation for programs, ambassadors and a movement built around identity and courage.

  5. 05 · Nzinga at 18

Now, at 18 and in college, the message is growing with her.

  6. 06 · Where We’re Going

Helping a generation protect, develop and share their Zing — in schools, communities and on campus.

Her story started the message.

The movement is for every young person learning how to keep their own Zing.

A message that grows with her

This was never just about surviving bullying.

It was about becoming who you were meant to be without allowing someone else to take away your Zing.

Nzinga’s Note — space reserved for Nzinga’s own words about her journey, in her voice.
